Dumb Ways To Die 3: World Tour

Dumb Ways To Die 3: World Tour was breaking out of its alpha stage as I joined Playside and my first task was to help out with level design. Soon after, I was working on the game design as a whole. After release, I was appointed as the sole designer and producer on the game, and lead the team through new minigames that I concepted, prototyped, and pitched.

These minigames were widely accepted as the best of the bunch and production on them went smoothly, leaning on the initial design documentation, and my ability to pivot with the programmers I worked closely with. Since then I’ve re-designed the entire tutorial and first time user experiences, created multiple new events for the game, and even more minigames.

The Dumb Ways To Die series is insanely popular. The original video has over 250 million views, and the games have over 300 million downloads combined.

Dumb Ways To Die 2: The Games

After the success of DWTD3, I was brought onto Dumb Ways To Die 2: The Games to help design new minigames, a new overworld, and other features.

My proposals were well received by both Playside and Metro, and myself and the team quickly developed them for a future patches. These included the Achievement system, Stickerbook and Stickers, the 3-Star system, and loads of Quality of Life features and polish.
