MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is an action-packed first-person shooter that draws inspiration from the classic cartoons of the 1930s. Its black and white rubber hose visuals are drawn by hand, frame by frame, delivering a striking vintage aesthetic.
Working closely with FUMI’s Lead Game Designer & Level Designers for a period of 6+ months, I managed a team of passionate Game Designers & Level Designers where we contributed heavily to every design aspect to bring out the best of the game.
My work & collaboration included;
- Redesigning & managing the building of every Boss in the game within tight scope & deadlines
- Giving & following through on critical game design feedback from a Publisher perspective
- Improving overall Combat quality & difficulty balancing
- Enemy AI improvements
- Reworking the base Player Controller & Movement Abilities from scratch with internal Programmers
- Adding important Game Feel flourishes in-sync with the game aesthetic and tone
- Reworking Levels & Enemy Encounters for improved flow and balancing
- Adding features such as the Kick (Kicking barrels & kicking open doors)
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire releases in April 2026 and currently has 1.2 million wishlists, so I can’t talk too much about the details!
