Super Gauntlet X (available on itch.io) was made by myself and another designer in 7 days for the 2022 7DFPS game jam. It’s a melee-oriented action game where players use their mouse movements to dodge enemy attacks, and their Super Gauntlets to bash and knock enemies around and into traps.

During the game jam it ranked quite highly, becoming the #1 non-horror game out of 260+ entries in the jam for some time.

Notable Features:

  • Dynamic Enemy AI with attack queuing, taunting, and anti-bunching positioning
  • Mouse-driven dodging, sweep your mouse to avoid attacks
  • Power Punches that send enemies flying, and bouncing off walls
  • Cohesive and readable art style and assets
  • Score system for all player actions and a multiplier to keep the momentum moving
  • Various traps and hazards
